For optimum performance of your Igneus wood fired oven, we advise that you use kiln dried silver birch as your main fuel source. Its paper-like bark, combined with its general density makes it the perfect wood to use when cooking and it will provide you with a fantastic bed of high-quality embers to use when slow cooking. Other kiln dried hardwood can be used; however, it is possible that they will not perform to the same standard as kiln dried silver birch.
